Hey everyone, I thought I’d post a quick review of the OPI
gel manicure I got done at a salon a little while back.
The color I used was called “Are We There Yet?” It’s a beautiful pastel pink shade – like
bubblegum.
This is how the finished product looked like right after I
got it done.
The last time I got a gel manicure done, I wanted to get it
off after a week (I’m not good at sticking to things for a long period of time
XP) and I made a guide on how I did that myself here:
This time around I ended up keeping it for nearly a month
and I have to admit I was really impressed. It didn’t chip at all, nor did it
peel or get ruined.
The pic below shows the result after one week on the left,
and three weeks on the right. (Since my nails grew out a bit too long, I ended
up cutting them, and the nail polish still didn’t chip.)
One complaint I have is that after your nails do grow out a bit,
your strands of hair could get caught underneath the lower portion of the nail
polish since it begins to peel off the nail from the side facing the cuticle.
That did get extremely frustrating at times especially while I was in the
shower and tried to shampoo or touch my hair at all. Other than that – which
you can manage if your careful – there was nothing wrong with the gel polish
and I recommend it if you are willing to commit to a nice polish for a while.
