Update & Manicure of the Week! (finally :p)

Hey everybody~ It has been a while yet again… time is flying by too fast already and the year just started!

Well, I just wanted to make an update on here, before FINALLY posting another manicure of the week – which I haven’t done in like forever since I’ve been neglecting my nails J lol.

For the past year I’ve been making my monthly favorite posts, which no lie have been a lot of fun but a lot of work as well, and to be honest ~ aside from a few nail polishes and lip sticks I’ve excluded, I’ve pretty much posted about everything I’ve owned/ever used.

Aside from the media category, there isn’t much for me to venture into or write about since I tend to stick to using what I like best, and I’ve already shown all of that, so there isn’t much for me to keep posting about every month.

So from now on, if I try something new, then i’ll review it in it’s own mini-post and tell you guys about it. Aside from that, there isn’t much for me to share XD Thanks for checking them all out~ If you haven’t seen all my posts they are in the ‘Favorites’ tab at the top of the blog J

In other news, this weekend I decided to take care of my nails for once since I had some downtime. I tried to be creative and do a simple design. I was was pleased with the results as it came out pretty sharp and clean.

I used a combination of base and top coat by O.P.I as well as ‘Black Out’ by Sally Hansen.

I just applied the base, used scotch tape to make a division and painted the top half of my nails ~ when they dried I applied the top coat and voila~!

Hope you enjoyed~ If you try it out lemme know J

Take care,

xoxo SiSi

Manicure of the Week!

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting much lately, I don't exactly have anything to say as of now and I don't have time either, but I'll get back to writing more soon~ promise ^^

I actually tried this out last month as well (but this time it's a different design) from the Salon Effects nail polish strips by Sally Hansen.

This particular set is called 'Laced Up'

I don't have much else additional commentary to add since I've already reviewed this twice. You can check out my most recent one here:

Like I said before, they are great quality and easy to use - which is why I keep using them. Plus, they have the cutest designs that you don't have to spend time getting done at a salon :p.

Here is how my finished product came out:

If any of you try them out let me know what you think!
Take Care,

Manicure of the Week!

I don't think my manicure of the week classifies as a weekly thing anymore since it's been months since I've posted one :P Regardless, I'll label any nail art / manicures I get done in the future the same just for the sake of consistency :)

I actually tried this out a while ago but didn't get a chance to post about it sooner, it's a part of the Salon Effects nail polish strips  by Sally Hansen.

This particular set is called 'Love Letter'

They are honestly great quality! I managed to keep mine on for two weeks and only removed them because my nails grew out too much, and they were simple to remove: just use regular nail polish remover! They didn't chip or peel off, and were beyond easy to apply. The beauty of them is that you don't have to be ambidextrous to get nice results on both hands XD

Here is how my finished product came out and I was obsessed:

I'm currently wearing another set of nail stickers now with a different pattern that I will write about next week ~ hopefully.

NOTE: this is not my first time trying them, I made another post about the first time I used them back in February~ http://alittlebitofeverything-alboe.blogspot.com/2014/02/manicure-of-week.html

If any of you try them out let me know what you think!
Take Care,

Valentines Day ♥

Hello everyone, it appears as though love is in the air... for some at least ;)

Yes, it is that time of year again, when the prices of roses and chocolate increase exponentially for one week only... none other than Valentine's Day

I created this little collage of all the things typically associated with Valentine's Day... the stereotypical chocolates, candy, flowers, and couples doing couple-y things. But as opposed to dreading V-day (cause you know... living that single life :P) I actually look forward to it.

If you ask me, I look forward to all the lame or sometimes impressive pick-up lines that can just be told for fun, and not in the interest of scoring a date.

I look forward to the romance flicks so I can watch them with my close friends, because I mean honestly, who wants to see a romance with their significant other?... totally kills the fun. Those films are made to be laughed at, cried at, and pretty much shredded by you and your besties.

I look forward to seeing everyone looking doe-eyed and the feelings of joy in the air...

I look forwards to the pinks,  purples, and reds everywhere and all the stores theming their displays...

And... I enjoy the cute little Valentine candy-grams that some people go around sharing for the sake of making people happy :)

Anyways, whether you will be spending this Valentines alone, or with someone you love, be sure to enjoy it! Leave the self loathing and loneliness with those chocolate wrappers in the garbage ;)

Have a wonderful night, and Take care!
xoxo SiSi

p.s since I didn't post a 'Manicure of the Week' this week, here is my Valentines inspired mani for the weekend ~

This is 'Hot Magenta' by Sally Hansen and 'Pink Diamond' by essie

Manicure of the Week!

Hey everyone, this week I have a different kind of manicure to show you... it's adhesive! I was afraid to try it because I didn't know how it would look or feel, but I have to admit I really like it. It's simple to apply and even simpler to remove.

This week I'm wearing Sally Hansen Salon Effects in 'plum'

You just take out the right sized strip and file it to the size of your nail and leave it for a few seconds and it dries. It lasts for about 10 days, and the best part is it can't chip because it's not a liquid nail coat that had to harden. Then to remove it you just use nail polish remover. You can check out my finished product below!
p.s the filter makes the color look brighter, in reality it's pretty dark :)

Take care!

Manicure of the Week!

Hello everyone, I'm pleased to announce that I'm currently working on my first favorites video for the month of January, it should be out tomorrow if everything goes according to plan. I should post a blog post about it as well, including all the products mentioned, how much they cost and where to find them.

Until then however, here is my manicure of the week. It's GEM Crush in 'Cha Ching' by Sally Hansen

I must admit it is a pain to remove because all of the glitter bits are stubborn and remain on the nail; nevertheless, I still love it. I recommend putting on a base coat of nail polish before you put the gem crush on for a cleaner and more bold result. You can check out my final product below!

Take care!
